SkyDemon
The SkyDemon air navigation software has quickly climbed to the top of the ranks reaching a leading position among the most popular portable device software used by pilots in Europe. Avioportolano provides SkyDemon with data from all the Italian runways and more than 1500 descriptive documents of Italian airports, airfields and ULM airstrips that make up the"Avioportolano Airfield Manual". SkyDemon uses its own default charts. Avioportolano aeronautical charts are therefore not available for download.
EASY AND QUICK CONSULTATION
The charts on the device can be consulted with a simple tap on the runway icon. The information window opens and in the bottom right you can find the "Avioportolano" data sheets whose content opens on the screen
1500 DATA SHEETS OF ALL THE ITALIAN RUNWAYS
On SkyDemon you will find over 1500 Avioportolano charts related to 487 runways: Airports, airfields and ULM airstrips.For each runway 3 chart groups are implemented:Visual Approach Charts, Aerodrome Landing Charts, Aerodrome Data Sheet and Visual Approach Image

VISUAL APPROACH CHART
Approach map in scale 1:75.000 in vector format. This means maximum display quality even at the highest and repeated zoom levels without any blurring of the image.

AERODROME LANDING CHART
Layout of the runway in different scales according to the length size of the runway. It ranges from scale 1:8000 to scale 1:50.000.

AERODROME SERVICE DATA SHEET
It contains the detailed information of each individual runway in both Italian and English: technical data, contacts, radio assistance, services present, hotels and restaurants.

VISUAL APPROACH IMAGE
It contains the image of the runway generally framed from South to circuit level. The chart offers the pilot a clear picture of the runway and the environmental context.

PERFECT PLATES INTEGRATION
The Avioportolano approach charts are perfectly integrated into the SkyDemon map, adding important and essential information content for approaching and landing. They open automatically and with progressive zoom on the screen when you are approaching the destination.

In navigation
When navigating to the destination point, the map below is the default on Sky Demon in scale 1:500.000.

Automatic insertion
When the destination is approaching, the Avioportolano "VISUAL APPROACH CHART" approach map overlaps the default map.

Topographic details
The "VISUAL APPROACH CHART" approach map is in scale 1:75.000 and contains more topographical and environmental details than the default map.

Infinite zoom
The map is in vector format and can be magnified to infinite zoom levels without any alteration in the sharpness of the image: unique quality of the new maps produced by "AVIOPORTOLANO"

IF YOU ALREADY USE SKYDEMON
If you already have a SkyDemon subscription, the new charts will be automatically uploaded to the software. You can use the updates at no extra cost until the end of the current subscription.
IF YOU WANT TO USE SKYDEMON AND HAVE THE NEW AVIOPORTOLANO CHARTS
Go to the SkyDemon website and subscribe for the period you want and add the Avioportolano package.
